Am 13. Juni 2017 wurde die Verordnung (EU) 2017/999 im Amtsblatt der Europäischen Union L 150 veröffentlicht.

12 weitere Stoffe wurden in das „Verzeichnis der zulassungspflichtigen Stoffe“ (Anhang XIV der REACH-Verordnung) aufgenommen und festgelegt, welche Verwendungen oder Herstellungsprozesse von der Zulassungspflicht ausgenommen werden können und ab wann ein Stoff ohne Zulassung nicht mehr hergestellt oder verwendet werden darf (Ablaufdatum, engl. sunset date).
